West Gardner Beef tells the story of Todd Pierce, who runs a custom slaughterhouse in West Gardner, Maine. Farmers from local farms bring their pigs, turkeys and cows to Todd for custom slaughter, and Todd has been working in the family business, 7 days a week, since he was 14 years old. This documentary project was undertaken while studying at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, Maine.
